Chaste Tree Berry is primarily used for mares that show discomfort, erratic or simply bad and sometimes dangerous behaviour, perhaps as a result of hormonal imbalances.

Chaste Tree Berry has been used for thousands of years for its beneficial effect on the female glandular system, and its restraining effect on male hormones. Modern research has confirmed the use of chaste tree berries to restore balance and function to the female reproductive system by stimulating the natural production of progesterone.

Chaste Tree Berry, like many other herbs, exerts a normalizing influence on the body restoring that which is absent and constraining excessive tendencies.

Chaste Tree Berry is also one of the major herbs used to treat Cushings Disease in horses and ponies. Chaste Tree Berry nutritionally supports the normal functioning of the pituitary gland. With this herbal supplement, the pituitary is allowed to thrive and perform properly by naturally helping to maintain normal dopamine levels in the blood and supporting regulation of both the pituitary and adrenal glands. Accurate dopamine levels also normalize prolactin to balance hormones in the body.

Chaste Tree Berry has been found to show great effect in the following areas:

  • Restoring absent menstruation
  • Regulating heavy periods
  • Restoring fertility when caused by hormonal imbalance
  • Cushings Disease
  • Relieving PMS tension
  • Easing the changes of menopause
  • Reliving pain and discomfort caused by a mare’s cycle
  • Inhibiting sex hormones of stallions, particularly useful when their behaviour is deemed to be dangerous or causing them loss of condition

Dosage

2 teaspoons - 1 tablespoon a day/500kg horse

Allowing a mare to have 3 weeks on and 1 week off appears to provide the most beneficial results without allowing the body to build up a resistance.

Chaste Tree Berry Powder has no known negative side effects and is safe for long term use.

This product is not recommended for pregnant mares.

May be of benefit for improving or promoting health or production or performance. Consult your vet before treating any illness.
