Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) may be useful in helping to support / maintain healthy joints in equines. 

The name Devil's Claw refers to the hooked, claw-like seedpods of the shrub Harpagophytum procumbens from whose roots it is extracted.

Benefits may include;

  • May exhibit anti-inflammatory properties 
  • May help maintain healthy joints  
  • May be a natural pain reliever and is sometimes considered as an alternative for Phenylbutazone ("Bute") 

This product may be swabbed. 

Feed Rate

1 tablespoon twice a day/500kg horse. 

1 tablespoon = 15g approx. 

Do not feed to pregnant mare or horses suffering from or suspected of having ulcers.

Great Product

This has helped my horse recovering from a hoof injury. I can use it long term instead of bute so he remains comfortable.

Seems like a good product so far, easy to use, but the packaging was leaking powder on arrival. Hopefully just a once off thing as id like to keep ordering if this lot is effective 🙂
