The inner bark of the Slippery Elm is often considered useful when taken internally in equines for supporting a healthy respiratory, digestive and urinary system. 

Slippery Elm may also be used topically when mixed with water as a poultice for some minor skin disruptions.

1 tablespoon = 10g approx.

My old gelding had very runny manure for months, since we started giving him slippery elm daily, his manure is more formed and he looks stronger and has even begun to put some weight on.
